Introducing our exquisite AB lot coffee, sourced from the Mutheka Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS) in Kenya's renowned Nyeri County. Grown by a dedicated group of smallholder farmers, this exceptional coffee undergoes a meticulous production process at the Kiandu Coffee Factory, nestled near the charming town of Tetu.

The Mutheka FCS, established in 2004 following the division of the Giant Tetu Coffee Growers Co-Operative Society, is a vibrant organization located in the picturesque Nyeri County. With approximately 6,000 small-scale coffee growers, the FCS manages seven factories, including the esteemed Kiandu Factory, which boasts nearly 1,900 registered members, making it one of Mutheka's largest cooperatives. 

To further enhance its distinct character, the coffee is carefully dried using one of two methods. If space allows on the factory's raised drying beds, the coffee is transported there for drying. Alternatively, it is soaked in circulating water for up to 24 hours. Over the course of 2 to 3 weeks, the coffee is dried gradually, with frequent turning and protection from the intense midday sun.
